Wallowing in someday with The Strokes
By Alex Fayle

Following along with this week’s impromptu theme of suckiness, I decided to go a bit alternative in my Someday musical inspiration. We’ve done Girls Aloud and Take That, who both had super-happy positive get out there and do messages.

Alternative music tends to lean more towards the less upbeat side of life and today’s song offers a perfect example: Someday by The Strokes.

It’s about the suckiness of relationships and how we listen to the opinions of others too much and how we spend so much of our lives trying instead of doing. And how we push away those who want to help and be by our side.

In other words, in good alternative musical tradition, the song is all about having a good angst-ridden wallow.

Today, courtesy of the Strokes, I’m giving you permission to have a wallow – enjoy!

P.S. You can get the lyrics here.

Yup - it’s the perfect song for wallowing in a rocking kind of way. ;)
