Break Free with High School Musical
By Alex Fayle

You knew it had to happen. I eventually had to go there. After all, there’s nothing more pop or more about positivity than High School Musical - the cornerstone in Disney’s millennial pop-teen empire.

And with lyrics like the following, you can’t argue with the message:

We’re breakin’ free
We’re soarin’
Flyin’
There’s not a star in heaven
That we can’t reach
If we’re trying

So for this month’s Positivity in Pop Music, I give you Gabriela and Troy singing Breaking Free.

LOL… I was just telling my friend yesterday, “I’ve always wanted to watch High School Musical, but never got around to it. Someday, I will.”

Sometimes we need cheesy pop music to put us in a good mood. I’ve never seen high school musical, but my wife has and she enjoys it. Maybe one day I’ll watch it. Someday syndrome strikes :) Arrrrgh!

For today I’ll just enjoy the YouTube clip.

Alex, I love this song - it is so positive. My kids make fun of me, because they think High School Musical is for kids :)

I’m a part of the never-seen-it crowd but it’s on my list but it’ll be in Spanish, so it’ll be as well as good escapist fun a Spanish lesson. ;)
