Someday Busting Contest

Ever since I started reading, Dr Suess has always been an inspiration for non-boredom. The man expressed more imagination and positivity in each book than most people do in their entire lives.

From him, I learned that it’s more than okay to be different (in fact, it’s amazing), that racism in any form is horrible, and that the environment needs to be protected from the short-sighted desires of big business - all while have silly fun with words!

If there’s anyone who deserves to be highlighted in Anti-Boredom Month, it’s Dr Seuss - especially since his most popular book, The Cat in the Hat is all about having fun on a grey and rainy day.

The Seven Lady GodivasIn 1939, Dr Seuss wrote a book called The Seven Lady Godivas: The True Facts Concerning History’s Barest Family, a not-for-children book about the Lady Godivas’ search for “horse truths.”

This month here at Someday Syndrome, you can win a copy of The Seven Lady Godivas.

All you have to do is tell me what you do to keep boredom at bay. It can be silly, practical, or totally off the wall. It’s up to you.

At the end of the month I’ll post a compilation of the best tips and from them I’ll choose the winner of this lesser known but incredibly fun Dr Seuss book.

Submit your Anti-Boredom tricks to me at alex AT somedaysyndrome DOT com by Friday, July 24th and I’ll announce the winner on Tueday, July 28th.
